Victoria is the first child treated at Cardiff to go straight into Bi-focals having not had glasses previously. She's getting on nicely with them - she uses them for close-work - her schoolwork sessions this week have been very good - one day we even ran over one hour. The patching continues - we visited the local hospital today where a slight improvement in the squint was noticed - Victoria is more readily switching from one eye to the other than she was which means she's more at ease with the left eye.
This morning I got some lovely photos of James doing schoolwork with Victoria - there was one funny occassion when Victoria correctly read the word turned over and James got it wrong!!!
I think that threading the little beads onto a large needle must be easier for her with her glasses on but i think that her left eye gets a bit tired - she stops working to rub it when we've been going for a while. We continue with the experiment hopeful of great things!
