Updates on Victoria Lily Joy van den Broek, born 120705.

Victoria is doing fine. Her skin is showing signs of not being 100% healthy though - I think her hands got cold when she went out one day last week (though she didn't go out at all when it was VERY cold) and they look a bit chapped on the back of her fingers. She continues to explore the different noises she can make with her mouth and loves to clap when I pause in the song 'if you're happy and you know it'. Milk she still gets from me - 4 or 5 times a day.. She was persuaded, today, to drink some water from her special cup - we need to work on her getting more and more that way. She likes the oatcakes which I made, she loves to eat bananas, baked beans and is always willing to try anything which she sees going over her head into David's mouth. The whole eating thing is a bit a challenge for someone who is only scantily bestowed with teeth - still only two - but she does admirably well in the circumstances.
Quick update on the rest: Timothy and Philip are looking at buying a building plot down in Taunton - Philip will build two houses on it if it is suitable and becomes theirs (guess who's doing the finance part?). David just spent a shockingly large amount of money on most of the tools he will ever need as a farrier/blacksmith. He was successful in an ebay bid. ON Monday he will go up to Cumbria and have a couple of days' tuition with the man who is selling it (a retired blacksmith) and Ron will drive up in the lorry on Wednesday so they can load it all on before returning on Thursday. Thomas and Lucy are going on their long-awaited adventure to Inverness - for a day (they travel up overnight on Monday and back overnight on Tuesday!!). The rest of life here is pretty hum-drum at the moment but what I just LOVE about life is that it is full of surprises!

Just found you off Henrietta's blog. Why is it that I can get an RSS feed off this blog but not off your main one?
